FAQs

You have questions. We have answers.

What is a good age to start martial arts training?

We believe that martial arts training has benefits for every age! With our younger students, we focus on developing listening skills and appropriate classroom behavior in a fun & playful way. Beyond practicing self-defense techniques, skills against bullying and maintaining or improving physical fitness, our students develop discipline, respect, self-esteem, goal setting skills, and confidence.

For teens & adults, martial arts training is a great way to improve fitness and flexibility, to learn self-defense skills, grow confidence, develop discipline, and release stress. There’s no such thing as the perfect age to get started.

Can I participate in the same class as my child/can siblings be in the same class?

There is no accurate answer to this question. It always depends on the program you plan to attend to & the age of your children. We always recommend talking to the instructor of the class if you have any special requests. We always find a good solution for everyone.

Can boys & girls be in the same class?

Absolutely! All of our classes are co-educational. We have a good mix of both girls & boys in our martial arts programs and teach our students from the beginning to respect each other, no matter which gender you are.

How many times per week can I attend classes?

We conduct classes twice a week on Mondays & Wednesdays. We have also arranged extra physical training on Saturday mornings at The Rock Family Worship track & football field for those interested in challenging themselves.

The best way to learn is by doing! In order to gain the full experience of a class, you should leave all prejudgments behind and open your mind. Martial arts offer much more than you might imagine. Without a doubt, the most important aspect of martial arts is the sense of community developed within our schools. The relationship between students and instructors is the key. Martial arts can be challenging sometimes and besides your own willpower, you need people around you that keep on pushing you along your way. We are not just any gym; we are a family!
